Collection: Katja Petterson
Katja Pettersson, one of the founders of the design group FRONT, are now working as a senior lecturer Beckmans College of Design. Katja has worked and studied within a broad spectrum of design.
Before studying industrial design at the Royal College of Art and Design (Konstfack) she worked in theatres and with textiles. During her studies she founded the design group FRONT together with three other students. FRONT has exhibited in prestigious institutions such as the MoMA in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the London Design Museum and the National Museum in Stockholm.
The group has also been awarded a number of design prizes, among them “Designer of the Future” at ArtBasel Miami in 2007. FRONT is represented in the collections of the National Museum in Stockholm, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Centre Pompidou in France. Katja Pettersson has been working as an independent designer since 2009 and works with investigating design projects.
